Help Mrs. Claus

Jennifer is an interior designer in Dix Hills with her daughter and boyfriend.

She started the charity Mrs Claus for a Cause in 2010. Mrs Claus answers the wishes of impoverished children living in the shelter system and in foster care and provides the items they need for success and happiness at holiday time, such as a toy, school supplies, clothing or shoes.

They work with Harlem Dowling, a child welfare agency in NYC and their social workers help the children write to us with their needs.

They collect all the items and host a wrapping party at the house every year. She also host a holiday party for the children, bus them in for the party, and hand deliver all of their presents to them.

It started with just Jennifer. It has grown to over 1,000 volunteers. To date, they have delivered wishes to over 2,000 children.

This year they are expanding again and need more volunteers for their sleigh.
