LI Against Domestic Violence

We are proud be serving Long Island for over 40 years. We also take pride in doing things a bit differently than others including providing comprehensive and supportive services including hotline, counseling, vocational training, emergency shelter, prevention and educational resources and legal advocacy. I’ve attached a digital version of our services brochure for some quick reference as well. All of our services are also available in to the Spanish speaking population.

Our formal mission statement: LIADV is committed to the empowerment of victims and survivors of domestic violence through supportive services including hotline, counseling, vocational training, emergency shelter, prevention and education resources and legal advocacy.

In addition to our foundational services we have many programs that set us apart, in which we are the only providers. For example, we are the only agency to have a direct and formal relationship with Suffolk County Police, District Attorney’s office and probation. This allows for a safety net immediately following an incident which has proven to reduce additional violent incidents in Suffolk County each year for the last five years.
