Camp Good Mourning! is a Huntington-based 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides FREE overnight bereavement camp programs for Long Island children who have experienced the death of a parent and/or sibling.  
During the presentation, I will share specific information about:  
•  Childhood grief
•  What makes Camp Good Mourning! unique 
•  How grieving children and their families benefit from Camp Good Mourning!
•  Why Camp Good Mourning! is important to the Long Island community
•  The benefits of supporting grieving Long Island children and Camp Good Mourning!
 
Paul is the Executive Director of Camp Good Mourning!, a Huntington-based 501c3 nonprofit that provides FREE bereavement camp program experiences for Long Island children coping with the death of a parent and/or sibling.  Paul has 17 years of bereavement camp experience -- providing services on both east and west coasts -- with children, adolescents, teens, and their families.  He also serves as a Support Group Leader for bereaved widows and widowers at the SYJCC and as a Pro Bono Support Group Leader for Life after Loss, a Nassau County nonprofit organization for families who have lost loved ones to gun violence.   Paul has been recognized by the Nassau County Executive for his work as a Hurricane Sandy Crisis Counselor and honored by Suffolk County officials for his work with Long Island students in the area of Bully and Cyber Bully Prevention and Intervention.  He earned his Master’s Degree in School Counseling and an Advanced Certificate in Mental Health Counseling from LIU Post.  He is a provisionally certified School Counselor in NY, a certified School Counselor in NJ, and a Clinical Mental Health Counselor-LP specializing in grief and loss.
