Yesterday was “Dictionary Day” at Sawmill and Burr Intermediate Schools. It was super successful, as it is every year. It is one of our favorite ways to serve our community. Every year we visit the Commack Intermediate Schools and hand out dictionaries to the students. We explain what Rotary is all about and get interactive with the kids. We run a short program with them, explaining how to use a dictionary. Now, more than ever, it is important for the students to have an actual, physical book in their hands. Thank you to all the members that spent time putting together the program and to those who attended, what a blast!
