Thomas Morrissey
Senior Vice President, Financial Advisor, Portfolio Manager
I work with individuals and families to help preserve wealth, generate income and support long-term financial goals.
With more than 40 years of experience, much of my focus is on building enduring relationships that often span multiple generations. I help families navigate the evolving responsibilities that come with wealth over time — balancing current income needs with long-term planning and legacy considerations.
I work closely with clients to understand their priorities and develop coordinated strategies designed to support their lifestyle, provide for future generations, and incorporate charitable intentions. Drawing on the resources of Morgan Stanley and my own experience, I construct portfolios focused on generating current income while maintaining long-term growth.
I have long been actively involved in my local community. I participate in organizations including the Knights of Columbus, Rotary and Kiwanis, and I am the founder of Survivor’s Park in Commack, New York — a unique 500-foot breast cancer ribbon installation honoring survivors and their caregivers. I also serve as a board member of the St. Patrick’s Day Foundation in New York City.
I am a graduate of Long Island University. I began my career in 1985, spent nine years at Fidelity Investments and more than 20 years at Merrill Lynch before joining Morgan Stanley in 2021. The Emerald Wealth Management Group at Morgan Stanley has been recognized by Forbes as one of the Best in New York State in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
My wife, Gina, and I both grew up in Commack. We and three of our six children have all chosen to make it our home.
